The NAU Library is giving NAU students an opportunity to “Paws and Relax” with therapy dogs from Faithful Paws.

The end of the semester is typically stressful for many college students. With final exams and project deadlines approaching, NAU Stallions at are hard at work! Long hours dedicated to lectures and homework can be strenuous but stress-relief tools are headed to NAU. The NAU Library is giving NAU students an opportunity to “Paws and Relax” with therapy dogs from Faithful Paws. Students can pet and play with therapy dogs and unwind from test preparations and paper-writing for a couple of hours during Finals Week.

“Faithful Paws will visit the library on Wednesday,
December 13 from 1-3pm. Everyone is welcome!”

Research indicates that engaging with animals (including pets and registered assistance animals) has many health benefits; these include feelings of comfort, motivation and socialization. Founded in 1997 as a ministry of Bellaire United Methodist Church, the certified pet therapy teams from Faithful Paws visit facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, schools, universities, and community groups.
