NAU will continue to maintain faculty excellence, offer a student centered and caring education to our students while promoting the highest quality of teaching in all areas and recruit, educate, and graduate the best and most diverse students.
We are proud of being a good source of passionate university graduates and community citizens for the local and global employers. Our international student graduates will continue to serve as Ambassadors of NAU and United States of America in their home countries.

Commencement Location & Time

Sugar Land Marriott Town Square, 16090 City Walk, Sugar Land, TX 77479. Ceremony is set to start at 11 am. Spectator seating will be at 10:30 am.

Regalia Reminder

Dear Potential Graduates,

If you are planning on attending Graduation (Commencement) this year, which means you are choosing to be a part of the Ceremony where you will wear regalia (cap and gown), walk across a stage and receive your diploma in front of family and friends you will need to purchase your regalia. There will be a representative here on campus for you to order regalia and whatever else you may want regarding your Graduation. You can call Everything Graduation (the Regalia Company) at (469) 688- 9127 and place your order over the phone or you can email Everything Graduation (the regalia company) at support@everythinggraduation.com.

Undergraduate regalia (cap & gown) cost is $25.00 this does not include honors cords or other items you would like to add to your purchase. Undergraduate regalia is NOT available for rental. Master’s regalia (cap, gown & hood) cost is $75.00 this does not include honors cords or other items you would like to add to your purchase. Master’s regalia is NOT available for rental. Tassels color for both Undergraduate and Masters is silver. Honors cords will be a separate purchase; single cord will be an extra $4.95, and double cords will be an extra $9.95. If you are unsure if you are receiving honors please check with the Registrar’s Office. Only those that will be receiving honors (in regards to GPA) will be allowed to purchase honors cords. Regalia & other Graduation ordered items delivery date will be April 25th 1:00 pm- 6:00 pm unless ordered after March 29th.

Please note that you MUST have regalia in order to participate or “walk” at Graduation on Saturday May 20th 2017. All regalia must be ordered no later than 6 weeks prior to graduation, which means April 15th is the last day to order regalia. There will be a representative at Graduation in case you wish to purchase last minute items such as honors cords, picture frames, etc. There will be a select amount of regalia available the day of Graduation at the Graduation venue. However, it is NOT A GUARANTEE that you will be able to purchase regalia the day of.

Masters students, if you are planning on participating in Graduation (Commencement) you MUST order your hoods by April 15th. If you do NOT order your hoods by April 15th you will NOT have a hood at Commencement wear. Hoods MUST be pre-ordered; there will be NO EXTRAS to purchase on Graduation at the Commencement venue. Also, please keep in mind that your Masters’ degree will determine the color of your hood. I.E. Masters in Education will receive a blue hood.

Mandatory rehearsal will be announced soon so please keep an eye out for that email. The day of Graduation we will have a photographer available for you to have your portrait taken and available for purchase. If you plan on having your portrait taken on Graduation at the Commencement venue please arrive early.
