THE NORTH AMERICAN UNIVERSITY STALLIONS ARE CHAMPIONS!
NAU secured its first USCAA Men’s Division I National Championship with an 89–74 win over Bryant & Stratton–Syracuse in Buffalo, capping a historic 2025–26 season with authority. After a tight first half that saw the Stallions lead just 36–34, NAU flipped the game in the second with a decisive run that created separation for good.
Tournament MVP Jamarric Hammond led the charge with a dominant 21-point, 11-rebound performance, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. He wasn’t alone—NAU’s depth showed all night, with five players scoring in double figures. Jayden Jackson added 17 points, Naheim Northern brought energy off the bench with 16, while Kemani Wilson and Tevin Gowens each chipped in double digits.
Bryant & Stratton–Syracuse, powered by Jordan Drain’s 25 points, kept things competitive early, but couldn’t match NAU’s balance and execution down the stretch. The Stallions controlled the tempo late and sealed the game at the free-throw line to secure the title.
The victory caps a 22–8 campaign—the best in program history—and marks a defining moment for the program. With a mix of leadership and emerging talent, NAU’s championship run signals more than just a breakthrough—it’s the foundation of a program on the rise.
