North American University basketball is off to a perfect 5-0 start across both programs. The men’s team sits at 3-0 after defeating Westgate University, College of Biblical Studies, and Paul Quinn College — capped by a 63-52 win over Paul Quinn led by Jamarric Hammond’s 18 points and 10 rebounds, along with steady play from Naheim Northern.
The Lady Stallions have matched that energy, improving to 2-0 after edging Paul Quinn 86-83, fueled by Jerkayla Dickey’s 23 points and Savannah Velazquez’s 20. The Lady Stallions previously opened their 2025-26 season with a statement 83–39 rout over the College of Biblical Studies, marking one of the largest margins of victory in program history.
The momentum is real — but now comes a major test. On Monday, November 10, the men’s team travels to take on Texas A&M–Kingsville at 6 pm (an exhibition game), with the Lady Stallions tipping off at home, 5:30 pm versus Southern University at New Orleans on November 12th. These matchups will be a key opportunity for North American University to show the strength and unity of our entire campus community.
So let’s make it count — students, faculty, staff, and alumni — your energy matters! Whether you’re in the stands, watching online, or posting your support, let’s stand behind our Stallions and Lady Stallions as they continue their historic start.
